When Kennisha came to know the Lord, she always said, “I want to know God like Abraham did. I want to know God like Moses did. I want God to speak to me like He spoke to them…”

She has learned that God reveals himself through His word and through the people that we come into contact with.

DISCOVERING YOUR PURPOSE

As a little girl, Kennisha always loved to write and make books. As an adult, God continued to bring these memories to her mind.

After college, Kennisha started working in education. However, early in her career she had a very high risk pregnancy and had to be put on bed rest. When she stopped working, The Lord reminded Kennisha of her love for writing.

Sometimes when we feel like we’re out of the game, God is actually using that time to get us in a new direction!

LEANING INTO GOD IN SUFFERING

When we are in the middle of the struggle, we often don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. We don’t always know how we will make it through.

Kennisha walked through infertility for many years. Kennisha has had a total of five miscarriages. She has 7 living children, but the longing for the five never goes away. She has had to learn how to lean in and trust God even when she doesn’t have all of the answers. The pain many never go away, but God will always provide what you need in each moment.

Once Upon a Child – Get Kennisha’s memoir!

Kennisha was introduced to fear very young in her life after an incident of assault. The enemy used this fear to keep Kennisha silent and hidden. She had to release that to The Lord and seek professional help through Christian counseling.

It takes great strength to endure hardship and still say that God is good! Even in the hardship, God shows up in miraculous ways!

The enemy tried to make Kennisha believe that God had abandoned her side, and that she is to blame for the pain in her life. However, the TRUTH is that God is always there for you. Even if you drift or make mistakes, the Holy Spirit will gently guide you back.

God is good, He is kind, He is loving, He is compassionate. He cares about you. God will not leave you. He will not forsake you. You can call on His Name. Even in your darkest moment, He will hear you.

God is your rescuer, He is your provider, sustainer. He is your peace in the midst of chaos and confusion in this world. You might need to go back to the basics of who God is every single day.

God doesn’t change like shifting shadows. God is steady. He is unchanging. He will not leave your side. You can always call upon Him!

WRESTLING WITH UNMET LONGINGS

Even in our waiting, God is there. There is still much to do while you wait.

Miscarried Joy – Book recommendation

Even in the midst of the longing, we can still declare and choose to believe that God is STILL good. Even in the thick of your waiting, God is there. You can still move, do, and serve while you wait. The feelings of longing and pain may not go away, but while you wait, God is still at work in and through you!
