S3 Episode #6- Holly Christine Hayes
THE ONE WITH HOLLY CHRISTINE HAYES
This week we welcome Holly Christine Hayes! Holly is Founder + CEO of Sanctuary Project, a survivor-run nonprofit social enterprise employing and empowering women who’ve survived lives of trafficking, violence and addiction in Austin, TX. Holly was rescued out of a life of trauma nearly 20 years ago and knows the path to recovery can be long and rocky. Her vision and leadership create a safe space for other survivors to grow in practical skills, unleash their creativity, embrace their femininity, and heal their hearts – all in community with other survivors
MORE ABOUT HOLLY
Nearly 20 years ago, in tears, on the floor of a public bathroom, Holly Christine Hayes breathed a simple but powerful prayer, “God, help me.” Later that day, after years of addiction and abuse, Holly met a stranger who helped get her into a recovery program, enabling her to escape the horrors she had known. Now, many years recovered, Holly has founded Sanctuary Project, a nonprofit jewelry enterprise that employs and empowers survivors of trafficking, violence, and addiction, based in Austin, TX. And beginning October 15th, this inspired jewelry, that represents renewal and restoration for so many women, will be available through Target.com.
Inspired by the concept of “sanctuary” every Sanctuary Project design reflects a simple elegance, utilizing elevated, on-trend styles such as gold chains and links, coins, and materials like marble and quartz. Every piece is hand-made and packaged by survivors, and 100% of their sales go directly to providing employment and job training for other women.
