Episode #50- Michaela Beel
The One with Michaela Beel
Michaela is an interior designer offering in-home full-service interior design services for those in West Michigan. For those who aren’t local to Michigan, she also offers 2-hour design consultations where she can help you answer any design dilemmas, find solutions for certain spaces, and can even create inspiration boards so you can execute the design plan on your own. She is also the co-founder of The Bloom Workshop, a company that serves as a resource for blogging, business, social media, photography and design. As you’ll hear in this week’s episode, she has a heart for serving her clients and attendees with excellence!
MORE ABOUT MICHAELA IN HER OWN WORDS
From a young age I was filled with a passion for creativity and a desire to work with people. My enthusiasm for creating beautiful spaces can be traced to my close relationship with my creative grandma, also an interior designer. My calling has always been there; to share my love for people through design. After a childhood filled with building houses in my bedroom out of jenga blocks, I packed my umbrellas (plural!) and headed from sunny California to Seattle to study interior design in college. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from Seattle Pacific University and my Associates of Arts degree in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
While in college, I started my design and lifestyle blog in 2010. What started as a way to document my studies and school projects, is now a daily journal sharing decorating ideas, client projects, fashion and entertaining posts, and glimpses into our own home.
My goal is to make people and families fall in love with their homes, no matter how big or small the renovation. A true believer in the home and the life that unfolds in those four walls, I am dedicated to creating beautiful and functional spaces so people can live their most meaningful lives.
A California girl at heart, I live in West Michigan with my husband and our Australian Labradoodle, Lincoln. My loves include bowling and eating Mexican food with my husband, working in the youth group at our church, going into open houses on the weekends, hosting gatherings in our small home, fixing up our first house, arranging flowers, teaching The Bloom Workshop across the country, spending time near the water, taking our pup to the park, visiting family in California and soaking in the beautiful moments all around me.
The Bloom Bash workshop coming up this November 5-6 just outside of Dallas, TX at The White Sparrow Barn. These two-day workshops have classes on blogging for your business, branding, floral arranging, calligraphy, how to best use social media for your business, how to get published, design and photography classes, along with a gorgeous styled shoot for attendees to practice photographing and styling. It all wraps up with Q&A with a panel of experts in the area so you can get all your questions answered before you leave!
