S7 Episode #13- Hope Reagan Harris

THE ONE WITH HOPE REAGAN HARRIS

This week we are excited to welcome author and podcaster Hope Reagan Harris to the show! Hope shares about her latest book, Now Over Next: Conquering the Fear of Missing Out. She encourages listeners to not be defined by the world’s view of success, but rather to trust God with what He is doing right now in your life. God will never leave you high and dry, He is always right on time. Even if the way feels hard, God is working for your good and His glory. If you’ve ever thought, “there must be more to life than this”, then this episode is for you!

A Little more about HOPE

Hope Reagan Harris, author of Now Over Next, This Is My Happy Place and Purpose Doesn’t Pause, graduated from Pepperdine University and spent seven years in corporate America. In 2024, she founded Purpose Doesn’t Pause Inc., a nonprofit celebrating and elevating God’s restoration by sharing women’s testimonies on her podcast and sending postcards worldwide.

ABOUT THE BOOK

[Press Release] The relentless pressure of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) has become a powerful force in today’s society, with recent OnePoll data revealing that 69% of Americans have experienced FOMO in some form. Many people find themselves so focused on staying ahead, striving for what’s next, and keeping up with everyone around them that they miss out on the present moment.

Now Over Next: Conquering the Fear of Missing Out (David C Cook, February 4, 2025), the latest book by author and Purpose Doesn’t Pause founder Hope Reagan Harris, empowers women to stop striving for an elusive “next” and instead find fulfillment in the present. Through her nonprofit, Purpose Doesn’t Pause—a global Christian movement where girls encourage one another with handwritten cards—Harris helps women and girls embrace their God-given purpose in the here and now.

“If we’re being honest with each other, there’s always something dangling in front of us that appears to promise a better, happier, or more fulfilled life,” writes Harris. “In today’s culture, we’re battling a universal epidemic that tries to trick us into chasing the next best thing. We’re talking about the “fear of missing out,” or FOMO. The problem with FOMO is, we can become so busy trying to create a life worth living that we end up missing out on the present moment God has placed right in front of us. It’s time for us to embrace where God has us today. It’s time to embrace NOW over NEXT.”

Now Over Next isn’t just a book, it’s an experience. Within its pages, readers will find:

  • A framework for getting unstuck spiritually and embracing the promises of God

  • Testimonies from 10 women who have discovered their own incredible God-given stories

  • Interactive prompts for journaling and reflection

For women tangled in the web of trying to keep up, Harris’ message is clear: God’s abundant life is here, not “next.” Now Over Next encourages readers to slow down, savor the journey, and allow God to reveal His plans for them—right here, right now.
