S3 Episode #21- Katrina Womack
THE ONE WITH Katrina Womack
This week we are excited to welcome Katrina Womack to the show! Katrina is a teacher at heart and desires to share the Word of God with the world, but more importantly, with those who are hurting and hunger to clarify their purpose and strengthen their walk with their Creator in heaven. She understands that God has given her the gift of writing to bring light and hope into the world. With her debut devotional, Blossoming into Righteousness: 66 Devotions to Grow Godly Habits in Business, Work and Life, her work is just beginning.
Katrina’s message has resonated with those around her. She has often been praised for lifting up the hurting and desperate through her faith-based writing and teaching. The resiliency and strength in her words come mainly from her life experiences.
In the classroom, Katrina serves as a coach to her students and a mentor to her peers. She’s passionate about helping everyone around her achieve their goals no matter what obstacles seem to be standing in their way.
Katrina uses her gift of writing to leverage her businesses and help others at the same time. Her natural inclination towards entrepreneurship has led her to strategically target professionals and entrepreneurs seeking to start their own businesses or climb the ladder of success within their current organizations. She does this through sharing business advice and providing coaching and leadership in the areas of resume writing, salary negotiation, and business planning.
Her creative side allows her to help anyone looking to express their ideas or business through writing bios and ghostwriting articles, blog posts, business emails, and proposals.
Her passion for education allows her to use her gift to support high school students in writing their best personal statements and essays for college scholarships and admissions applications.
Katrina Womack is a woman on the move that seeks to take her dreams, initiatives, and professionalism to newer heights each and every year.

READ
Often the path that God takes us on has many twists and turns, but each step can be used to prepare us for what is next. Nothing is wasted.
Redefining Success in The Wait
In college, Katrina felt like she heard The Lord telling her, “Your degree is not going to get you where I’m taking you.” She continued with her program, but this always stuck with her-- reminding her that this is not the end of the story.
This is a reminder for all of us-- that God is continuing His work in us. The story is not over yet, even if you find yourself in a spot that you never expected to be. God is still going before you, making a way, and leading you toward the next step.
The dreams you had in the past may be on hold, but they are not dead. This season is not being wasted.
Things aren’t going to happen in our timing. Waiting is often part of the plan-- there is purpose in the wait.
God is so faithful to keep His promises. It may take longer than you expected, but God is always faithful.
The Book
Blossoming into Righteousness: 66 Devotions to Grow Godly Habits in Business, Work and Life
When a plant has deep roots, it will grow and flourish into a good thing. When we are rooted in The Lord, we will also blossom and grow. God is pruning us through each new situation-- helping us shed the things that are not from Him and allowing us to become more and more like Him along the way.
Pruning is the process of removing the dead parts in order to make way for new life. God wants to remove the dead parts of our lives so we can blossom and begin anew.
Overcoming Shame
Cling to the Word of God and pray through the lies. Remind yourself of the truth in the Word of God. Surround yourself with sticky notes of Scripture and encouragement of things that are true. We can be quick to forget the truth about who God is and who we are in Him, so we must constantly remind ourselves and always stay connected to the Word of God.
Joshua 1:9 -- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
God will be with you where you go, and you will be ok!
Tending To Your Heart, Mind, Body + Spirit
We must forgive, but also set healthy boundaries. Forgiving someone and releasing any bitterness or resentment does not mean that you are going to trust that person again and remain in relationship with them. It’s important to know when to let go.
Final Thoughts
God’s timing is the perfect timing. Don’t get discouraged if things don’t happen on your timetable. Our God is sovereign and He knows what you need. He is not holding out on you. There is a plan. Your story has worth and value-- nothing is wasted.
You are redeemed and restored because of the work of Jesus!
