There is already so much symbolism around the four seasons and how they apply to our lives, but the the word “SEASON” is used in four unique ways that seem to symbolize four ways our lives align with God’s purpose for our lives.
1. Weather = Positioning
{Each of the four divisions of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) marked by particular weather patterns and daylight hours, resulting from the earth's changing position with regard to the sun.}
When everything is in position in the atmosphere, weather happens and our awareness of what is happening is heightened.
When the weather changes we might need to change our position. This is true in the Spiritual realm— sometimes we need to change our position in order to receive or even see what God is doing in and for us.
This could be a shift from being reactive to becoming proactive.
The way from a life of reactivity to proactivity (intention, purpose) is:
Awareness of your role in God’s story
A high view of His sovereignty
2. Animals = Readiness
{A period when a female mammal is ready to mate.}
When animals are “in season”, they are fertile and receptive to mating.
2 Timothy 4:2 helps us understand that we can be “in season” and “out of season”
“Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.”
Readiness can relate to maturity, attitudes, and perspectives
There is a sense of abundance when animals are in season.
Evidence of an abundance mindset:
Willingness
Mutuality and synchronicity
Collaboration with the creator

3. Food = Anointing
{Add salt, herbs, pepper, or other spices}
“The Flavor of Favor”- being highly effective/successful/prosperous for the glory of God. This might not look like success by earthly standards, but rather in God’s eyes.
This could look like:
Gifts of the Spirit
Equipping
Capacity expansion
Discovering and developing your skills and talents
Determination, perseverance, and endurance
4. Wood = Timing
{Make wood suitable for use as timber by adjusting its moisture content to that of the environment in which it will be used}
This is the waiting.
“Though the vision may tarry… wait.” -Oswald Chambers
Sometimes there’s no story without the waiting—
We see this with Hannah and Samuel in the Bible. (1 Samual 1:2-2:21)
We see this with the Israelites in the Wilderness- everything was set up in the wilderness.
“Your faithfulness in the wilderness becomes your authority” -Bob Gladstone
When God’s hand is supernaturally bringing you into a strategic position and your heart posture is open, your readiness and maturity will allow you to receive His anointing for ministry in His flawless timing. When everything in your life seems to be coming into Divine alignment, get ready for Him to use you in Powerful ways far beyond your natural capacity. Remember that sometimes He highlights what is missing or where we can grow in these areas in order to bring awareness to where He is currently moving as He guides you on your destiny Journey with Him.
